Introduction:

ಚಾಣಕ್ಯನೆಂಬ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಜ್ಞ, ರಾಜನೀತಿಜ್ಞ ಹಾಗೂ ದಾರ್ಶನಿಕನಾಗಿದ್ದವನು. ಅವನ ಉಪದೇಶಗಳು ಕಾಲಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿ ಪಡೆದು ಆಧುನಿಕ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅನುಸರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ. ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನದು ಅವನ 21 ನೀತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳು:

1. ಈ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ದೋಷ ರಹಿತವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, ರೋಗದಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತರಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, ಯಾರು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಅರೋಗ್ಯವಂತರಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, ಯಾರೂ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಸುಖಿಗಳಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
2. ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ವಂಶವನ್ನು ಅವನ ನಡುವಳಿಕೆಯಿಂದ, ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಭಾಷೆಯಿಂದ, ಸ್ನೇಹವನ್ನು ಅವನ ನಿಯತ್ತಿನಿಂದ, ಮತ್ತು ತಿನ್ನುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ದೇಹದಿಂದ ಗುರುತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

1. ಮೂರ್ಖನ ಸಹವಾಸ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಸುಖ ಕೊಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ.
2. ಗಂಡಸರು ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಹಣ ಇಲ್ಲದೇ ಹೋದರೆ ವಾಸನೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಹೂವಿನಂತಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
3. ಕೋಗಿಲೆಗೆ ಸ್ವರ ರೂಪ,ಹೆಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಪಾತೀವ್ರತೆ ರೂಪ, ಕುರೂಪಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯೆ ರೂಪ ಮತ್ತು ತಪಸ್ವಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷಮೆ ರೂಪ.
